This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

As a Communications Coordinator, you’ll use your storytelling and analytical skills to drive awareness of the Redfin mission, our unique technology, and everything else that sets Redfin apart. You will also set our team up for success through maintaining and improving a variety of essential administrative tasks.
The Role
Track, catalog and analyze both Redfin coverage and competitor coverage while consistently looking for ways to optimize processes for accuracy and efficiency
Draft press releases and pitch Redfin reports to local media outlets
Draft press briefing documents for spokespeople
Research how the media is covering housing, including insights for the rental market
Keep team updated on relevant industry events, emerging media platforms and more
Manage relationships and contract renewals with media relations vendors
Update media lists and identify new reporters to pitch
Skills & Experience
1-2 years of full-time PR or communications experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
You’re highly organized and have experience tracking coverage and creating reports
You’ve worked with reporters before and know how to draft a good pitch
You’re a creative thinker and strong communicator who reads the news and understands what’s considered newsworthy
Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Boolean searches, and Tableau a plus

The compensation information is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in Hawaii, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Washington, and California.
Base Pay Range: $56,800.00 - 85,000.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include commissions, bonuses, and equity. Potential for merit increases and stock grants based on performance.
