Communication Primary duties:
This individual will assist in providing marketing support to in story idea development, writing and promotion of newsworthy content to increase the visibility of the AEDS. This individual will assist in creating and maintaining communications and media contacts for AEDS, assist with graphic art design of publications, help build our capabilities with enhancement of our presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. to increase the visibility of the AEDS. Also, this individual will assist with the promotion of events, preparation of news coverage tracking & assist with Web site maintenance, research free media & marketing opportunities in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota, and Other administrative office tasks as assigned.
Creative Placemaking Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The creative Engagement Program Manager is full-time position. This position is responsible for shaping and taking Little Africa Creative Placemaking work to next level, assess strategic partnership, involve in budgeting, promote program innovation, program development, some grant writing, and working collaboratively with AEDS team.
Responsibilities includes:
· Assess, initiate, and build strategic partnership relationship with stakeholders
· Help in building and implementing social media strategy
· Initiate and promote program innovation and lead
· Participate in long- and short-term program development and planning and reporting
· Develop and effectively manage program timelines to ensure timely completion of program deliverables
· Provide technical assistance to businesses and artist
· Recruit, train and retain volunteers
· Identify partnership and funding opportunities, write grant and report on program related to Creative Placemaking
· Work with African and other community organizations to promote and advocate about the work of AEDS/Little Africa
· Facilitate quarterly business/community dialogue.
· Work with business team to help increase AEDS client base
· Oversee and lead Little Africa conference and Little Africa annual festival
· Work on exploring to expand Little Africa cultural business district in Brooklyn Park/Center
· Promote artist entrepreneurship within African immigrant communities
· Other duties as assigned
