Overview:
The Manager, Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAP) oversees the Aviation Safety Action Programs for all applicable employee groups, as well as the Fatigue reporting programs for pilots and flight attendants at Endeavor Air.
In addition, the Manager, ASAP oversees company safety investigations including the activities of the Safety Investigators.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for reviewing all ASAP and Fatigue reports from frontline employees. This includes ensuring a thorough safety investigation is conducted and appropriate supporting information/data is collected.
  • Ensure all safety and incident reports are recorded and properly coded in the safety database.
  • Conducts trend analysis on safety reports and provides that information to both Endeavor leadership and the ASAP Event Review Committee (ERC).
  • Coordinate and facilitate all ASAP ERC meetings, including ERC member and crew travel, accommodations, and compensation.
  • Provide training on the ASAP programs for committee members and frontline employees.
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for frontline employees for all ASAP and Fatigue Review Board related matters. Conducts all follow-up with employees regarding the status and outcome of their reports.
  • Coordinate and track all corrective actions assigned through ASAP meetings to completion.


Fatigue Review Board Manager

  • Serve as Chairman of the Fatigue Review Board (FRB).
  • Provide training on the fatigue risk management programs for committee members and frontline employees.
  • Facilitate FRB meetings. Coordinates with base management on fatigue reporting outcomes to ensure proper pay coding.


Safety Investigations

  • Oversee the company’s day-to-day investigations into safety related events and trends.
  • Conducts trend analysis on safety events and provides that information to Endeavor leadership.
  • Draft, review and publish safety investigation reports related to safety events.
  • Generate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions as appropriate, based on safety investigations.


General

  • Assist in the integration of ASAP, safety investigation and fatigue data into Endeavor’s Safety Management System by identifying safety trends and hazards.
  • Draft and publish ASAP, safety investigation, and fatigue reports and newsletters to highlight data trends and significant events for the employee groups.
  • Educate and promote safety reporting and safety events via classroom and virtual settings.
  • Schedule and lead base visits to educate employees on the benefits of ASAP, safety reporting and the fatigue risk management program.
  • Travel approximately 5-10%.
  • Duties may include operating around aircraft and ground service equipment on the ramp and in the hangar.

  • Manage the team of Safety Investigators and coordinate their day-to-day activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Safety, or a related field of study and/or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Proficient computer skills working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 121 operations.
  • Experience with trend analysis and conducting risk analysis/assessments.
  • Familiarity with NTSB accident/incident investigation procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the analytical tools found in the WBAT and ASIAS databases preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, to meet time-sensitive deadlines, and to accept increasing responsibility in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Ability to work extra hours as necessary.
  • This position is on call 24 hours a day and is required to carry a company-provided mobile device.
  • Some travel, including overnight stays.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Computer work in a typical office environment, sitting for the majority of the day.
  • Repetitive motion such as: typing and phone work.
  • Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.

FLSA Status: Salary Minimum Position Pay Range: USD $70,000.00/Yr. Maximum Position Pay Range: USD $80,000.00/Yr.
