As a Commercial Territory Manager, you will be accountable to manage and develop profitable new Commercial OE Coatings business for the Automotive Refinish group. The Commercial Territory Manager will work in partnership various Direct accounts, Territory Managers, Architectural stores and specialized distributors to accomplish growth goals. Accountability management and overall management will be provided by the refinish commercial regional sales manager. The Commercial Territory Manager will spend 100% of your available time on commercial and industrial sales growth and account maintenance. Travel territory includes Minnesota & Wisconsin and includes up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities
Manage existing customers and identify markets for Commercial OE sales growth. These accounts are both direct and indirect through our current distribution network. Develop large portions of the commercial growth plan as delegated by the regional manager.
Manage, facilitate preparation and startup of new customers. Prepare ongoing business plans with these customers. Develop sales strategies, mine new target accounts through select commercial distributors. Coordinate sales efforts between the commercial distribution channels. Teach principles of commercial coatings business to select distributor sales representatives.
Develop presentations of commercial and IC products, including providing new customers with comprehensive proposals.
Monitor market conditions in competitive activity to contribute to the development of regional commercial marketing strategies. Assume greater role in preparation of regional commercial growth plans.
Solicit direct sales opportunity as directed by the regional manager in the regional growth plan and develop national account specifications as they occur in the region required.
Qualifications
BS degree in business marketing or a technical discipline or the equivalent in sales experience
Minimum of two years previous experience in Commercial Territory management
Functional and technical skills
Required use of CRM system daily
Commercial OE and Industrial coatings experience
Salary range $90k - $115k plus a bonus package
