Description
Position Purpose
Responsibilities for Wesco Turf's customers in the defined territory for the following; Sales of Commercial Golf new and pre-owned equipment, parts, financing and protection plans. Assist with golf irrigation sales.
Duties include but not limited to training, scheduling, territory planning, event planning, forecasting, reporting, quotations, equipment demonstrations, customer presentations, customer events and follow up.
Incumbent will possess a clear understanding and working knowledge of Wesco Turf operations to be able to manage the customer's expectation and interactions with all divisions of Wesco Turf including:
- New and pre-owned equipment, programs, financing, ordering, set up, and equipment deliveries
- Customer service, parts ordering, programs and deliveries
- Warranty service, reporting, scheduling equipment pickups and deliveries, customer paid repairs and loaner availability
- Accounts receivable
Establish and maintain customer relationships within their respective territory including but not limited to, golf course superintendents, club presidents, board of directors, owners, general managers, club controllers, assistant superintendents, green committee members, equipment managers, spray technicians as well as Wesco Turf vendors.
Compensation Package - Base Salary/Bonuses/Other Incentives
- Eligible for a companywide bonus that is dependent on the company meeting performance goals. Equivalent to 0 - 3 weeks of additional pay, prorated for your first year.

Dimensions
- Territory consists of all golf accounts within their respective territories and counties
- Responsible for sales of $5,000,000 - $12,000,000
- Customer base consists of existing golf courses; municipal, public and private, as well as any new golf related projects in their respective territories
Accountabilities
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate competitive accounts
- Demonstrate new products and train end user on proper operation of new equipment, submits demo and loaner requests accurately and timely
- Prepare and present sales presentations to golf customers
- Maintain favorable relations with Toro and vendor partners to ensure viability and profitability of division
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent selling and customer service skills
- Must be good with people, extremely tactful and professional
- Must be able to present in front of groups
- Good understanding of the Sales Process
- Must maintain Toro Sales Percipio Training requirements annually
- Must live in the designated sales Territory
Education and/or Experience
- Requires a college degree or a minimum of 5-years experience in a related field
- Previous outside sales experience
- Turf equipment and / or agronomy experience a plus
Salary Description
$75,000.00 - $82,000.00 / year
