SalaryAthens Behavioral Medicine is currently seeking a reliable and motivated college student to join our Medical Office as a Part-Time Front Office Assistant. This would be a great opportunity for students wanting to go into the medical field. The ideal candidate should be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), and have a genuine interest in providing administrative support in a healthcare setting. This part-time position offers flexible working hours to accommodate various schedules and commitments.
Essential Functions:
1) Must possess a professional and outgoing personality.
2) Will greet patients upon arrival and collect payments.
3) Update patient information.
4) Assists with incoming phone calls.
5) Schedule/Change patient appointments.
6) Assists with medication authorizations.
7) Checks prescription messages and pulls charts for calling pharmacies.
8) Verify insurance
9) Other duties as assigned.
We seek an articulate, cheerful, customer focused individual who enjoys the challenge of a busy desk. Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task, have a clear, friendly telephone manner, be team oriented and be able to work with minimal supervision. A minimum of one year of physician practice front office experience is desirable.
