Job Summary

Student Assistants will give tours of Georgia's Old Governor's Mansion, assist with special events, programming, gift store operations, research, and maintenance of the collections.

Responsibilities

Providing tours of the museum - 60%
Provide tours of the space.
Events - 10%
Provide support for events.
Programming - 10%
Provide support for programming.
Gift Store Operations - 10%
Provide support in Museum Store.
Research and Collection Work - 10%
Provide support of collection maintenance and research.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Friendly, engaging and focused. Ability to work weekends, during school holiday breaks, and summer.
Required Experience
Enrolled at Georgia College & State University.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Major in Art, English, History, Education, or Museum Studies

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
Public speaking skills, ability to work with the general public.
