The Collection Manager is responsible for ensuring healthy cash flow and prompt payment of Stericycle receivables. This position is responsible for managing the Collection operations, supporting collection staff for Stericycle business units, providing reporting and analysis on collection functions and audit requirements.  

• Lead an organization of approximately 15+ team members, including various supervisors.  Responsibilities include hiring, training, and developing the collections team to deliver highly effective customer service and results at all levels of the organization; grows and mentors department and organization talent to support growing and changing business.
• Coordinate with other Collections Managers to manage the collections for over 400,000 customers generating in excess of $2.6 billion in revenue for Stericycle businesses. Specific focus over the National customer accounts.  Ensure consistent processing and execution of all collection strategies to drive timely receipt of cash and minimize past due receivables, maximizing positive impact on Stericycle's DSO.
• Work with SBU Vice Presidents and Controllers, Sales Directors, Customer Service Management and OTC department Management to address necessary process improvements of systemic issues and resolve customer issues resulting in improved invoice accuracy and successful collection/resolution of past due receivables.
• Lead and participate in determining optimal collection strategies; Develop, implement, and administer Collections policies and procedures in order to reduce delinquencies; monitor results.   
• Work with outside vendors including collection agencies and collection software companies to support ongoing collection efforts.      
• Support the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer and other applicable OTC reporting members with ad hoc reporting and analysis around strategies to reduce DSO.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities, in a Collections transformation state, as needed.
• Responsibility over accuracy of claims collection to improve ability for recovery of assets. Minimizes aging of account receivables; maximizes cash collection

• Required Education:  Associate's or equivalent
• Preferred Education:  Bachelor's or equivalent 
• Required Years of Experience (North America only):   5+ years
• 5+ of Credit & Collections experience, demonstrating complete understanding of bankruptcy and collection law, internal Aging Reports, and familiarity with credit analysis skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
