CalPERS Financial Reporting and Accounting Section is looking for an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Collection Specialist). Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Supervisor, the Collection Specialist performs more responsible, varied, and complex analysis, tracking and collection activities related to delinquent accounts for all CalPERS-wide non-investment programs, serves as the point of contact for CalPERS concerning delinquent accounts, and independently handles receipt and review of files on delinquent accounts from the program areas.

- Experience with making effective payment plan negotiation
- Experience in research and coordination with programs/divisions to support validity of outstanding account
- Experience with identifying and independently resolving collection issues and inquiries
- Experience with preparing management report of complex collections, recoveries, and write-offs
- Speak and write effectively
