Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Commercial Roofing Collection Representative to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in managing accounts receivable for commercial roofing projects, ensuring timely collection of payments from clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with clients to resolve any outstanding payment issues.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Management

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable for commercial roofing projects.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Follow up with clients on overdue accounts and negotiate payment plans when necessary.

Client Communication

• Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings regarding payment status and outstanding balances.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to facilitate the collection process.

Collections Strategy.

• Develop and implement effective collections strategies to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow.
• Analyze accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on the severity of delinquency.

Documentation and Reporting.

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports and collection activities.
• Document all communication with clients regarding payment arrangements and resolutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial collections, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure when dealing with challenging situations or clients.
