Under the direct supervision of the CNP Summer Manager to serve food items that meet mandated nutritional requirements and/or requests of students or school personnel; verify quantities and specifications of orders; maintain facilities in a sanitary condition; and assist in the program operations as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Cleans utensils, equipment, storage, food preparation, and serving areas to maintain required sanitary conditions.
- Serves meals to meet nutritional requirements based on the planned menus and daily production records.
- Inspects food items to verify quantity, quality and specifications of orders to meet serving requirements and to comply with mandated health standards.
- Stocks food, condiments and supplies to maintain adequate quantities and security of items.
- Prepares documentation (e.g. inventory and supply lists, machine logs, temperature logs, etc.) to provide written support and to convey necessary information.
- Loads and unloads transport vehicles for transport of meal supplies to and from the central kitchen to the service location.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be 18 years or older to apply.
- Job related experience is desired.
- Must have valid Food Handlers Permit.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to perform physical activities without difficulty.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals and maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted during work.

- Travel between schools and central offices is required to attend meetings or in-service and deliver paperwork or pick up food and supplies. Travel to food service sites throughout the county is also required.
