Role:CNC Programmer

Location: Burleson, TX

Job type: Fulltime

Position Summary

The CNC programmer will be responsible for programming CNC dual turret dual spindle Doosan lathes and a 5 axis hass mill. Will be responsible for pulling the appropriate tooling required to run the next job on the production schedule to ensure that the machines stay running. Also, will manage the tool cabinet to ensure we have the inserts needed to maintain day to day operation and upcoming jobs.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and write CNC programs for machining operations based on engineering blueprints and specifications within Mastercam.

· Maintain awareness of new ideas in processes, tools, methods, and apply them effectively to NC manufacturing

· Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency

· Complete and maintain the program documentation and file system

· Pull required tooling and program need to run the job for the operator

· Maintain our VMI cabinet where all the inserts and tooling are stored to ensure we have what is needed for operation

· Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills:

· 5+ years of multi axis programming

· Knowledge of Mastercam Software for creation of CNC programs preferred

· Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.

· Experience with various machining techniques, including lathe and electrical discharge machining (EDM) preferred

· Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

· Solid understanding of mathematics, including geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to setup, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes or mills without assistance

· Experience working with a broad range of materials aluminum, steel, plastic

· Experience with smaller, precision parts preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.60 - $29.62 per hour

• CNC: 5 years (Preferred)
• CNC programming: 5 years (Required)
• Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)
• MULTI AXIS PROGRAMMING: 2 years (Required)
• Mastercam: 1 year (Preferred)
