CNC Programmer
Position Type: Direct Hire or Contract to Hire
Position Location: Houston, TX
Position Shift: 1st Shift (6:30AM – 4:30 PM, M-F)
Position Salary: $25/HR – $28/HR (Depending on Experience)
Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs for production runs
- Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates
- Modify existing programs for different machines
- Maintain tooling database
- Make manual program adjustments as necessary
- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process
- Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED a minimum; Higher Education or certificates a plus!
- 1-3 years’ experience working as a CNC programmer.
- Background working in Haas or Mazak CNC machines is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
- Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
