Description:
The Programmer Specialist plays a critical role in our manufacturing process by creating and optimizing programs for our woodworking processes and machinery. This role collaborates closely with our operations and engineering teams to ensure the efficient and precise execution of woodworking projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Cabinet Vision - Assist in creating, building, and maintaining product/hardware library
• Cabinet Vision - Output parts via Screen to Machine to the CNC and other machinery
• Cabinet Vision - Launch and support Screen to Machine
• Cabinet Vision - Review sales design to ensure that the design is compliant with the company's product offerings and installation requirements and limitations
• Cabinet Vision - Define and work efficiently to resolve design questions
• Utilize WoodWOP and/or BiesseWorks software to develop CNC programs for woodworking machinery
• Analyze engineering drawings, CAD files, and project specifications to determine programming requirements
• Set up and configure CNC machines for specific woodworking tasks
• Perform toolpath optimization and generate efficient cutting strategies to maximize productivity
• Conduct tooling selection and toolpath simulation to ensure accurate and high-quality output
• Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs as needed to prevent errors and ensure smooth operations
• Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule machining tasks
• Maintain documentation of CNC programs and make revisions as necessary to improve efficiency
• Cutrite- Create parts data files from Cabinet Visio
• Cutrite- Import and Generate Optimization files to be used at Panel Saws

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 year degree preferred
• Prior experience with Cabinet Vision and/or CNC Programming (Screen to Machine)
• Proven experience in CNC programming using Alphacam and WoodWOP software
• Including using Alphacam automation and set-up of WoodWOP parametric variables to drive on-demand wood cutting configurations a plus
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering/technical drawings and CAD files
• Strong knowledge of woodworking processes and materials
• Ability to set up and operate CNC machinery
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience Weeke, Homag and Biesse Wood Router Machines
• Familiarity with other CNC programming software and machinery
• Certification in CNC programming or related field
• Cabinet Vision experience. Must be proficient and understand software's capabilities
