Cnc Programmer/Operator

SNELLING is currently seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator in the Tyler area. The primary function of the CNC Programmer/Operator is to review blueprints and engineering specifications to determine correct machining processes and to operate the CNC throughout the manufacturing process. The pay rate for this position will depend on skill level but will be between $20 – 30 / HR. Full benefits package offered once hired onto company payroll.
This CNC Programmer/Operator position will be temp-to-hire, meaning that SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and SNELLING would be your employer for a probationary period upon an offer being accepted.
Responsibilities/Qualifications of the CNC Programmer/Operator will include:

• Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with those blueprints
• Utilize computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and related computer technology to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production
• Minimum 2 years of experience manufacturing, working knowledge of CNC programs and thorough understanding of machining principles
• Ability to read and understand blue prints, CNC programs and routes, use developed math, reading and writing skills within the scope of the job assignment
• Must be able to pass background requirements
