Company Description
Job shop mill (primarily) CNC Machinist. The entire process from cutting stock, programming, set up, quality, and package. We are a small job shop looking to add a skilled machinist with a good attitude to our team. Everything from 3D surfaced one off parts, firearms components production on fixtures, to steel weldments goes through our doors. We have 4 HAAS machines (VF2SS/VF3SS/VF2/VF3), New computers that handle CAD/CAM well, and a clean spacious shop layout. We are a growth oriented company and require a good fit that prefers challenges and opportunities.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist and Programmer located in Homeworth, OH. The CNC Machinist and Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating various CNC machines to produce metal and plastic parts that meet customer specifications, using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. The CNC Machinist and Programmer will also inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and perform maintenance on machines as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in operating CNC machines, including setting up, programming and operating, and familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360)
Knowledge of workholding, tool holding, and cutting tools
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Ability to work with a variety of metals and plastics, and to use precision measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers)
Familiarity with G/M code, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting
Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment
Ability to operate manual machine tools (i.e. lathe, mill) is a plus
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement is a plus
