We are seeking a motivated individual with a background in Machinist - Operator or Programmer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing and designing industrial foundry tooling and molds - training provided! Types include foundry patterns, molds, masters, cores, loose pieces, core prints, and models. Apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC vertical machining centers: Haas and Fadal.
- Design simple to complex molds and models, and understand parting lines.
- Understand shrink, draft, and machine allowances.
- Convert 2D drawings to 3D CAD models.
- Design and build fixtures, templates, scale models, and devices.
- Comprehend standard drawing views, notes, and tolerances.
Requirements:
- Experience in programming CAD/CAM software: Solidworks and Autodesk PowerMILL
- Familiar with manual machinery, drills, lathes, saws and mills, manual tools, and measuring devices.
- Fabricate using materials: Aluminum, steel, iron, plastic, tooling boards, wood.
- Manage multiple projects at one time
- Capable of following a project from concept design to finished product.
- Ability to work independently, with a team, and interact with customers to assist in the design and manufacturing process.
- Experience performing repairs, reworks, inspections, and finishing.
