General Information
- CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist
- Located in beautiful Mentor, OH.
- $30-$38/hour based on previous experience.
- 1 st shift working Monday-Friday from 6am-230pm
- Temp to Hire or Direct Hire opportunity with the company.
As the CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist you would be responsible for writing programs for the Okuma Lathe using Mastercam software, setting up, and machining of metal parts with tight tolerance.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Setup precision Lathe machinery.
- Operate CNC Okuma Lathe to produce tight tolerance metal parts to specifications.
- Read blueprints to determine proper dimensions and tolerance levels.
- Input product design into programming software.
- Adjust machine settings to desired product specifications.
- Test accuracy of settings and programs.
- Troubleshoot machinery as necessary.
- Program and set up new and existing equipment.
- Advise and assist with new process development.
- Work with other machinists to overcome challenges on the shop floor (adjusting machine setting, review blueprints or models to confirm desired results, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in programming and setting up precision CNC Machining, specifically with CNC Lathes.
- Experience writing programs, knowledge of Mastercam is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining/program issues.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, and use precision measuring tools.
- Knowledge of exotic metals such as titanium, Inconel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
