Atlas is hiring CMT Inspectors for the tri-state area (NJ, NY, PA).

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Perform daily inspections of construction/ project sites in tri-state areas and ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications.

• Concrete inspector duties include testing of slump, air, unit weight, temperature and fabrication of test cylinders and beams in accordance with ASTM standards.

• Perform various special/CMT inspections related to soil, concrete, rebar, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, asphalt, MEP systems, and Firestop etc.

• Perform various non-destructive testing on steel connections using approved methods (MT, PT, UT, etc.)

• Some of construction material testing inspections require the use of several equipment instruments, including an air pressure meter and soil density gauge.

• Prepares detailed written reports detailing findings, observations, and test results.

• Implement Atlas' health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able and willing to work some weekends and occasional overtime.
• Must have strong communications skills and be computer savvy – and able to add and use Apps on a smart phone or tablet.
• Ability to author daily reports.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must successfully complete background and motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to follow Construction Site Safety Precautions.

Technical Requirements:  

            Any of the below:

• ACI 1 - Concrete Field-Testing Technician
• ACI 2 - Concrete Construction Special Inspector • ICC Reinforced Concrete / ICC Masonry / ICC Soil
• ICC Structural Steel Welding and/or ICC Structural Steel Bolting
• ICC Spray-applied Fireproofing Special Inspector
• ICC Residential/Commercial Mechanical Inspector and/or ICC Residential/Commercial Energy Inspector
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector and/or ASNT Steel NDT certified for UT/MT/PT
• NICET Level I or II soil, any other relevant cert

Compensation:

$25- $45  per hour

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
