We are seeking a qualified Senior Inspector for a high-profile project in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Field supervision of civil construction operations in urban environment
- Documentation of all work performed
- Supervise work of multiple contractors
- Interface with client, public and project managers
- Monitor project schedule and budget
- Oversee and coordinate inspection of work for compliance with plans, codes, standards as well as for compliance with schedules and deadlines
- Work with the project team on ensuring quality and safety on the job site
- Provide daily reports to senior management team
- Provide quantities, manpower and other field information for production of independent cost estimates.
- Collaborate with other inspectors to provide comprehensive field supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- PE a big+
- 5+ years' experience
- Experience related to excavation, pile driving (H piles, micro piles, helical piles, etc.) pile caps, rebar/concrete, finish work and utility relocations.
- Experience working in and around transit facilities a plus.
- Strong communication skills at multiple project levels ranging from tradespeople to client or facility executives
- Public sector experience a big+
- Site safety a priority
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including off hours if/when required.
- Experience with site utility installation and relocations
