Cloud Administrator

The Cloud Administrator is a cloud first individual applying broad technical skills, with deep industry knowledge and business acumen. You are an IT specialist who has the skills and knowledge to navigate complex cloud environments, develop and implement cloud strategies, and ensure cloud systems stay up to date and run smoothly. With a strong blend of technical and communication skills our Cloud administrator uses a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Administer cloud solutions across multiple platforms (Azure and AWS).
- Implementation and delivery of IT projects.
- Documentation of solutions (e.g. architecture, configuration, and runbooks).
- Consult with teams to build and support innovative solutions, data center migrations, and scaling their adoption of AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Review and evaluate existing systems and software products to identify reuse and platforming opportunities and refactoring opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to the teams in implementing within our cloud.
- Establish and enforce quality standards for cloud services.
- Monitor, and maintain workloads in AWS and Azure.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained throughout the environment.
- Linux server administration
- Database administration with emphasis on Oracle and SQL.
Technical Qualifications:
•Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
• Deep technical experience in infrastructure design including private and public cloud, networking,
• Deep technical experience in infrastructure design including private and public cloud, networking,
virtualization, identity, security and storage.
• Hands-on with tools & methods in capability, business transformation delivery, sizing & estimations
• Expert in Linux and Unix platforms
• Experience with configuration management and automation technologies such as ARM Templates, and Terraform is preferred
• SQL Server, SQL Server IaaS, Oracle – Migrations, upgrades, tuning, monitoring.
• Hands-on with tools & methods in capability, business transformation delivery, sizing & estimations
• Expert in Linux and Unix platforms
• Experience with configuration management and automation technologies such as ARM Templates, and Terraform is preferred
• SQL Server, SQL Server IaaS, Oracle – Migrations, upgrades, tuning, monitoring.
Non-Technical Qualifications:
• Proven record of accomplishment of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
• Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years with cloud administration as part of responsibilities
• 5+ years of design, implementation, and support of highly distributed systems
• 10+ years of Linux administration
• 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on
solution/projects)
• 5+ years of database administration Oracle, SQL
