Salary: $95,000 base salary with earning potential up to $120,000 plus monthly bonuses based on productivity.

Job Description:
As a Remote Clinical Coding Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant coding practices in healthcare documentation. You will utilize your expertise in IP coding, auditing, or CDI to review medical records, assign appropriate codes, and provide clinical validation where necessary. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DRG methodologies and clinical indicators to support accurate reimbursement and quality reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient encounters.
- Conduct thorough documentation and coding audits to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and CDI specialists to clarify documentation and ensure accurate code assignment.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in coding practices and provide recommendations for process enhancements.
- Stay updated on coding updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to maintain proficiency in Clinical Coding.
- Participate in educational initiatives and training programs to support professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential from AHIMA.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IP coding, IP auditing, or IP CDI in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient understanding of DRG methodologies, clinical validation, and documentation improvement principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex medical records and coding guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance in coding practices.
