Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Expertise: Utilize your expertise in inventory analysis, AP/AR management, and accounting principles. Provide financial advice for marketing, and operations. Develop and oversee long-term financial plans. Create Detailed reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the accounting department and mentor AP/AR specialists, Staff Accountants, Senior Accountants, and/or Accounting Managers.
- Strategic Insight: Offer valuable insights and oversee the business, annual budgeting, and projections. Create investment strategies and identify growth areas.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with deadlines, tax payments, and financial regulations. Conduct periodic risk analyses and monitor tax liabilities and audits when necessary. Help the firm meet regulatory obligations.
- System Proficiency: Utilize your knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise, and other financial software for seamless operations.
- Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve account discrepancies with efficiency and accuracy.
- Innovation: Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades for enhanced efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of full cycle accounting experience is required with a focus on luxury consumer goods being a plus.
- Leadership: Over 7+ years of supervisory/managerial experience, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire a team is required. Ability to motivate those in a demanding environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage, and advanced Excel skills required.
- Industry Insight: Previous experience in cosmetics and luxury consumer goods is essential. Data-oriented approach to problem-solving. Strong understanding of the budgeting process.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, coupled with solid knowledge of GAAP is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and manage multiple software platforms; experience with Paylocity is a plus.
- Integrity: Uphold the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness in all financial transactions.
