Organizational Unit Overview
The Department of OB GYN currently includes: 12 OB GYN in the General OB GYN Division, 4 in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division, 1 Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Sub-specialists include: 1 GYN Oncologist, 1 Urogynecologist, and 3 Certified Nurse Midwives.
Highlights include:Affiliation with ECU Health( Greenville) that reaches more than 1.4 million people across 29 counties.
Located in beautiful eastern North Carolina with proximity to an extensive array of cultural and outdoor activities.
Job Duties
The physician hired will participate in all areas of patient care and teaching provided by the division. Job highlights include:
Employment by East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine
Hospital privileges at ECU Health, a 974 bed Level 1 Trauma Center with a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
A referral network including a 29-county area with a population of 1.4 million people
Active involvement in the teaching of medical students and residents, multidisciplinary teams providing clinical care, and ongoing research.
Fixed Term or Tenure Track position available at the title/rank of Clinical Assistant Professor/Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor/Associate Professor.
12 month position with anticipated start date of 7/15/23.
Contingent upon availability of funds.
Minimum Education/Experience
Candidates must be Board certified and active in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Board eligible.
MD or DO degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
North Carolina Medical License
Board Certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
