East Liverpool City Hospital is an award-winning community hospital proudly serving residents of the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and more than 500 employees, the hospital averages 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. East Liverpool's medical staff is comprised of more than 160 physicians with an additional 21 resident physicians completing their training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and remains the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County. ResponsibilitiesCustomer orientated. Acts as a liaison with patients and staff. Registers patient when they arrive for appointment, verifies demographic information, insurance information, calculates payments as necessary, collects and posts insurance co-payments and payment on accounts and assists in business office duties when needed. Reports to Physician regarding medical issues and Manager regarding business matters.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. High school diploma or equivalent required2. Previous medical receptionist experience or background in general office work preferred3. Knowledge of medical terminology4. Must possess ability to follow oral and written instructions5. Must possess good interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette is essential6. Working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Office Suite, copy machine and other office equipment
