Client Advocate for Persons with Developmental Disabilities In Oakland and Macomb Counties:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Client Advocate in Oakland and Macomb Counties. As a Client Advocate, you will be responsible for quarterly visits to assess, evaluate and monitor the consumer either at their homes, workshop, or school.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with managers, staff and clients to address their needs and concerns
- Complete and turn in visit summary sheets
- Develop and maintain scheduling each visit and stay compliant with quarterly visits
- Occasionally attend a Person Centered Planning meeting
- Attend no less than 2 development trainings
- Attend quarterly staff meetings
- Monthly communications with the Director or Assistant Director
- Report immediately any incidents to the Director or the Assistant Director
Job Qualifications:
- Background or experience working with developmentally disabled individuals
- Direct care experience
- Some college preferred
- Able to work with individuals of various backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with consumers
- Abide by the policies and procedures of the agency
- Pass a police background clearance
- Valid drivers license, a working vehicle and able to drive to various locations.
