Position Summary
The payroll clerk position requires to assist in all activities regarding the management of employee compensation in the companies. The main goal is to carry out all payroll procedures with speed and accuracy.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with accurately entering payroll data into the payroll software (ADP).
- Prepare payroll reports.
- Review timesheets for accuracy and missed punches.
- Calculation of manual payroll payments.
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data when necessary.
- Answering employee’s and supervisor’s questions and concerns.
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Preparing periodic payroll reports.
- Assist with periodic payroll related audits.
- Serve as backup on payroll duties.
- Interact directly with Human Resources to resolve payroll related issues.
- Other duties as assigned by Payroll Manager.
Education and Experience
- Have an intermediate understanding of computers and systems.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Home Health experience strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficient in HRIS software, ADP highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality.
- High level of professionalism.
- Strong communication skills.
- Interacts well with other departments and teammates.
