Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am -4:30 pm
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform public health clerical duties, which include providing clerical support for various environmental programs including but not limited to the home sewage program (backup for plumbing, water well, food, and nuisances)
- Serve as a backup for all Front Office programs including issuing birth and death records using the vital statistics software program
- Communicate with contractors, vendors, hospitals and ODH
- Answers the telephone, greets the general public in person, and assists them in accessing needed services
- Operate various office machines including the fax and copier, scanners, and various computer software programs. Prepare reports for the Director of Administration and Support Services and ODH
- Works collaboratively under the direction of the environmental health management for program-related activities and the Unit manager of Administration and Support Services for administrative activities
- Enter receipts and make daily deposits. Responsible for balancing receipts and maintaining financial records in accordance with the accounting system
- Other tasks as requested or assigned by the Directors and/or Health Commissioner
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING/EXPEREINCE:
- High School Diploma
- Must have excellent organization skills and effectively communicate in person and in writing
- Highly organized and self directed
