Clerk Accounting

Responsible for performing a variety of clerical functions which include but are not limited to ; Collection of Documentation, CMS Form follow up to make sure they are accurately completed, entering notes in systems (ie. TREKS, EPIC) documentation purposes. Conduct follow-up phone calls to patient/family members so as to ensure the efficient operation of the various departments within HSR. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service in accordance with Montefiore Excellence.

Education/Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is a must with college course work preferred and experience in collection and/or insurance verification. Must be experienced in providing excellent customer service and problem escalation/resolution in high volume atmosphere. Candidates must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written; with excellent telephone and face to face communication. Must be able to work independently and get along with others. Must successfully pass pre-hire exams; Math, grammar/vocabulary & customer service with a score of 80% or above. Billing experience required.
