Description
The Accounting Clerk responsibilities include running accounting software programs (e.g. Epicor) to process business transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful Accounting Clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and exhibit a strong work ethic.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities
/ Process AP/AR invoices.
/ Code AP/AR invoices to conform to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
/ Handle vendor correspondence via phone or email.
/ Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders.
/ Process remittance information from checks, drafts, and wire transfers items to determine proper disposition and crediting accounts.
/ Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
/ Mail checks to vendors and other businesses.
/ Prepare bank deposits.
/ Record payments in accounting software.
/ Work with personnel to verify status of delinquent accounts and solicit payment on overdue accounts.
/ Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
/ Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and ERP software.
Education and Experience:
/ Requires a minimum of a high school diploma.
/ 1 - 2 years accounts payable, accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
/ Experience with the manufacturing industry is a plus.

/ The work environment is an office setting with periodic need to visit the plant floor.

Salary Description
$18 - $25/hour
