Job Description
Purpose of Position:
This class of positions encompasses clerical related office activities utilizing manual and automated office systems; duties may include supervision of employees performing routine tasks appropriate to each Assignment Level.
Examples of Typical Tasks:
- Supervises and instructs a small unit or group(s) engaged in clerical activities.
- Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of subordinates, and is generally responsible for the satisfactory completion of the work performed in the unit or group(s).
- Serves as principal assistant to a supervisor of a large section or unit.
- Performs moderately difficult and responsible clerical working maintaining and checking various kinds of records.
- Coordinates work assignments basted on area workload and review daily assignments to deploy staff, as needed.
- Conducts training and orientation for new employees with regards policies and procedures.
- Substitutes clerical staff during meal hours and breaks in needed.
- Maintains an inventory of supplies forms and minor equipment necessary for efficient functioning of the area.
- Coordinates and ensures ongoing maintenance and housekeeping activities, and requisitions for required repairs/services.
- Knowledge of financial patient registration (unity) system and demographic screening.
- Evaluates the performance of Clerical Associate Level II and complete staff performance evaluation, in consolation with.
- Participates in Supervisory meeting on a regular basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
