Job Description
- Clerical work, including filing, data entry, reception work, schedule meetings, typing and preparing correspondence, indexing, operating office equipment (fax, computer, photocopier), and other clerical functions.
- 50 keystrokes per minute, Microsoft Office knowledge intermediate level. Interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Performs data entry and general clerical duties.
- Maintains professional demeanor.
- Liaisons with nurses, physicians and staff.
- Ability to interact with patients all day.
- Operates a computer-based call directory console while navigating through various applications (WebXchange, 2Ring console, Cisco Finesse, and Everbridge Emergency notification system).
- Handle heavy call volume using applicable Customer Relations Skills.
- Overhead paging and announcements for various departments.
- Respond and dispatch all emergency codes (126, Behavioral Health Response Team, Rapid Response Team, Stroke, Trauma, Internal/External/Fire Disasters).
- Place individual paging and request for general staff.
- Update all pertinent information for monthly schedules and logs.
- Report requests for equipment/software applications repairs and service.
- Place and log all local/long-distance and toll calls.
- Transfer and connect calls to various departments.
- Prepare daily schedules for off hours/nights/weekends and holidays.
- Transfer calls across multiple hospital networks and clinics.
- Train new operators when needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience using Cisco/Siemens Optipoint phone required
- Experience with Operation Applications (WebXchange, 2Ring, and Cisco Finesse)
- One year of full-time Operator experience required
- Computer skills necessary
- Customer service skill
- Ability to type 100 keys strokes (20 words) per minute
- Experience with Cisco Finesse, 2Ring, and WebXchange preffered.
- Telephone operator experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
