The City of Backus is seeking applications for a 30 hr/week
City Clerk/Treasurer
The position includes but is not limited to accounting, budgeting, payroll, utility billing, conducting monthly council meetings, & statutory clerk-treasurer duties as set forth in MN Statute §412.151 & §412.141.
Desired Minimum Qualifications: 2 years of general ledger accounting or bookkeeping experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel, strong written & verbal skills, and ability to communicate with the public clearly & effectively with tact & diplomacy. A degree in accounting or a related field & work experience in a government setting would be helpful. Salary range & benefits negotiable & commensurate with experience & qualifications.
