Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the IT Department and works with the helpdesk, server administration, and network teams to resolve issues. Works on strategic plans, budget; and ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Job Duties:
• Provides supervision and support to all areas of the department where service or assistance is needed; oversees activities of assigned department personnel.
• Monitors staff in daily tasks, operations, and quality control; ensures the organization of assigned areas of the department, coordinating and prioritizing available resources.
• Maintains advanced knowledge and awareness of financial industry technical status and trends.
• Consistently apply superior decision-making techniques pertaining to the risk appetite of the bank.
• Assumes responsibility for IT projects and prepares status reports for Senior Management.
• Manages bank IT policies and procedures and oversees IT regulatory audits and examinations.
• Maintains communications with vendors in the maintenance and purchase of equipment and accessories.
• Co-chairs various internal IT committees, incident response, emergency/disaster, and business continuity teams.
• Plays a positive role in the development and growth of assigned department staff through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong delegation skills assuring a highly cross-trained staff.
• Performs personnel actions including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; supervises the daily activities of the department including, but not limited to, effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules and providing necessary training.
• Manages Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, and other cloud computing services.
• Designs change management procedures, and creates documentation, diagrams, and custom reports.
• Coordinates the installation, update, and security patching of equipment and programs, and prioritizes information security findings based on risk level.
• Validates monitoring and testing of backups and servers, and maintains accurate and current documentation of systems, configuration settings, and data flow diagrams.
• Reviews reports for appropriate resolution of issues concerning failed processes or outages.
• Occasionally works after normal business hours on projects, maintenance, and outages.

• Assures audit compliance and procedure quality control through system review and recommends and initiates corrective actions; ensures processes follow Bank policies, procedures and state and federal regulations.
Minimum requirements:
Associate’s degree in computer science and financial institution; IT-related experience
CISM and/or CISSP certifications preferred.
