Chief Technology Officer

Our client is a cutting-edge security drone company, revolutionizing the industry with advanced, innovative unmanned aerial solutions tailored for comprehensive surveillance and security operations. As they continue to lead and redefine security measures through technology, they are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their executive team. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the CEO, will oversee a team of 20 developers and drive the technological advancements and strategic direction of the company’s drone solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary leadership in the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy, aligning with business objectives and market demands.
• Lead and mentor a skilled team of 20 developers, fostering a collaborative, productive, and innovative work environment.
• Oversee the research, development, and deployment of cutting-edge drone technologies, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the CEO and other executive team members to define technical roadmaps, set priorities, and drive innovation within the company.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact the company’s products and market position.
• Establish and maintain relationships with technology partners, vendors, and research institutions to enhance the company’s technological capabilities and market offering.
• Drive continuous improvement in software development practices, hardware integration, and system architecture to ensure optimal performance and scalability of drone solutions.
• Ensure that all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines, safeguarding the company’s reputation and operational integrity.
• Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, panels, and networking events, showcasing the company’s technological expertise and leadership in the security drone market.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar senior technical leadership role, preferably in the drone, aerospace, security, or related technology sectors.
• Strong background in software development, hardware engineering, and system architecture, particularly relating to unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of developers and engineers in a high-tech environment.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving technological innovation and product development.
• Familiarity with the security industry and understanding of the specific technological needs and challenges associated with security applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in technology management are highly advantageous.
• Experience in managing budgets, crafting technology roadmaps, and leading cross-functional projects.
