Job Description
The Key Program, Inc., (Key) is searching for a Chief Operating Officer(COO) to join the executive leadership team.
The Chief Operating Officer reports to the President & CEO and works collaboratively with the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Human Resources, and the Director of Agency Clinical Services to implement Key’s mission, values, and agency initiatives. The COO is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and compliance management throughout the agency. The COO provides leadership to Key’s Regional Directors and to the Quality Assurance Manager in areas of program development, operations, policy development, facilities management, regulatory and contractual obligations, licensing, accreditation, and health/safety standards compliance. The COO represents the agency to the Board of Directors, external business partners, state human service leaders, and provider organization leaders.
Key is a non-profit human service organization that provides trauma informed services to children, youth and families, and adults with complex background histories that can include trauma, sexual exploitation, run-away patterns, behavioral issues, mental health diagnoses, and neurodevelopmental disorders. The Key Program, Inc. contracts with the Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island child welfare and protection agencies to operate congregate care intensive treatment programs, emergency residential programs, outreach and family support programs, and outpatient mental health clinic services. Key is accredited by the National Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Key’s corporate office is relocating from Framingham to a centralized office park in Westborough, MA in February 2024. This position requires in-person work in our corporate office and travel to Key’s locations throughout MA and RI. After the onboarding period there is an ability to work a remote day within the work week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS and a Master’s degree in business, management, or human services required.
- Minimum of ten years of management, and leadership experience in the non-profit human service sector.
- Extensive experience and applied knowledge of operational management, regulatory, licensing, and contractual obligations that must include oversight of residential and community-based services.
- Extensive experience with MA state health and human service systems, and evidence-based, trauma informed systems of care.
- Knowledge of RI and NH state and human service systems, preferred.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Starting salary is $160,000 but may be negotiable, commensurate with experience.
