Chief Operating Officer

Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and optimize the operational aspects of our medical device company.
• As the COO, you will be responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives, streamlining processes, and implementing efficient business practices to enhance the company's performance and customer satisfaction.
• Operational Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's overall vision and goals.
• Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to ensure a competitive edge.
• Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement within the supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes.
• Implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase overall operational efficiency.
• Supply Chain Management: Oversee the procurement and management of medical supplies, equipment, and inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chain operations.
• Logistics and Distribution: Develop and maintain a robust logistics and distribution network to facilitate prompt and accurate deliveries to customers.
• Optimize transportation and warehousing strategies to minimize delivery times and reduce shipping costs.
• Quality Control and Compliance: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure that all products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Management: Work closely with finance to monitor and manage operational budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify areas for financial improvement.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate operational disruptions.
• Ensure the implementation of health and safety protocols across all operational areas.
• Technology Integration: Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience, such as inventory management software, data analytics, and automated processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the medical device industry.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to align operational activities with overall business objectives.
• Regularly communicate operational updates and progress to the executive team.

Education - Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in a relevant field
• Proven experience as a COO or senior operations executive in the medical device industry
