The Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Corporate Group is led by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Bank. The Group delivers a broad range of innovative, impactful solutions that foster the Bank's ability to meet its mission including Finance, Procurement, Accounting, Real Estate, and Enterprise Services professionals. The Corporate Group is aligned across its functions to provide superior services and value-added resource and financial management that seamlessly support the Bank's objectives.
Your role as the Corporate GroupChief Operating Officer:
If you are an experienced, strategic, and innovative operational leader who is passionate about customer-service and has an inclusive leadership style, we invite you to apply for the Corporate Group’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) position! In this role you will report directly to the Bank’s CFO and Head of the Corporate Group and bring in a visionary mindset and collaborative approach to the Group’s executive team. You will also be a key partner in setting the mission, vision, and strategic direction for the Corporate Group in close coordination with the Group’s senior leadership team.
As the Group’s COO, you will lead a team of 50+ in the Group Support & Enterprise Services (GS&ES) Function that is responsible for delivering innovative, high-quality services to clients across the Bank. The GS&ES team is responsible for Business Support & Operations, Risk Management, Business Technology & Data Management, as well as Enterprise Services, which includes Event Management, Food Services, Travel Services, Printing and Postal Services.
You will also have an enterprise mindset and model and set expectations with respect to collaborating proactively with colleagues, relying heavily on the expertise and leadership of others to achieve shared accountability for desired outcomes.
Develop and direct a comprehensive strategic plan for the Corporate Group’s management of talent and resources, risk management, and program and change management while ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategic priorities to Simplify, Innovate & Lead.
Drive an innovative and customer-centric approach ensuring exceptional service to the Bank.
Lead the management of the Group’s expenses to achieve all financial targets, identifying and strategic opportunities and cost-saving initiatives aligned with the Bank’s and Federal Reserve System’s strategic priorities.
Ensure effective oversight of a well-designed and well-documented risk-assessment and compliance program in support of initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners while ensuring an enterprise mindset is applied to decision-making.
Model inclusive behaviors and maintain a culture of trust within and beyond the team of direct, clear, and authentic communication.
What we are looking for:
Broad people leadership skills directing multiple areas of responsibility in an executive leadership role.
Strong background in operations management and customer-service with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
Demonstrated experience building and developing high-performing teams with diversity of perspective and thought.
Exceptional and authentic communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Proven ability to coach, lead and develop others to achieve their professional best while building diverse teams and creating an inclusive culture.
Exceptional collaboration & influencing skills with the ability to gather support for business initiatives and strategies across multiple partners with diverse or different interests.
Salary Range: $325000 - $385000 / year
