Job Description
The CFO will lead all financial activities of the company and drive the strategic financial growth of the organization. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will provide financial insights and recommendations to support the company's growth and profitability goals. They will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, accounting, tax, and treasury functions.
Looking for experience in the non-profit industry with a minimum of 5 years in a Sr position with a minimum of 10 years work experience.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy and operational plans.
• Provide financial leadership to drive growth and optimize profitability.
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to the executive team and the board of directors.
• Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with banking and financial partners.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies and procedures.
• Lead and develop the finance team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations that may impact the company's financial operations.
Requirements
Technical skills
• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. [MS/MBA is a plus].
• Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years progressive experience in senior finance management roles
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software - QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, ADP, Insperity, and Expensify.
• Proven track record of data driven decision making.
• Excellent knowledge of forecasting methods and modelling
• A CPA License is preferred.
