About the Team
The Executive Team at Alaska Behavioral Health work behind the scenes to ensure smooth daily operations for both our staff and our clients. The Chief Financial Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will collaborate with the CEO and other members of the senior leadership team to make decisions regarding the organization’s financial strategy and operations.
What You’ll Do
- Be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships.
- Manage and oversee the organization's annual independent audit and financial report and annual operating budget process.
- Oversee the development of budgets for State and Federal grants.
- Provide leadership to the following departments: Reception, Maintenance, Accounting, Billing, Grants, and Compliance

- Position is based in Anchorage, Alaska
- Full-Time, Exempt
- Pay Range is $145,000 to $180,000 depending on experience
- In addition to base salary there are opportunities to earn $25,000 in annual incentives each year based on achievement of individual and organizational goals

What We Need from You
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.
- Ability to provide broad leadership to the organization as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Ability to contribute to the improvement of the workplace culture and the organizational goal of being an Employer of Choice
- Strong finance-based analytical skills
- Degree in accounting or similar field
- +4 years of finance/accounting experience
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required
- Familiarity with payroll procedures, and payroll tax and report preparation.
- Experience in governmental funding and fund accounting
- Experience in healthcare finance and managerial accounting would be a plus!
