K’oyitl’ots’ina, Limited (K Corp) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) experienced in building teams, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and business transformation. Candidate must have prior government contracting experience working with the Service Contract Act (SCA), Davis Bacon Act (DBA) and be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Work collaboratively with CEO and other senior officers of the executive team; Have strong influence on operational aspects of the company.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations –
- Manage personnel in accounting operations
- Enforce staff compliance with company policies and state and federal laws
- Manage internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with investment institutions
- Oversee the monthly financial close process, including the development of the monthly financial reporting package
- Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements for 10 Entities including several joint ventures
- Oversee financial operations including planning, reporting, cash and capital management, and risk mitigation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and laws
- Experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency and CAS Regulations
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors
- Oversee financial systems implementations and upgrades and improve efficiency through the use of technology
Contract Administration-
- Review and monitor contract financial performance
- Review and monitor contract and corporate expenditures
- Review Government Pricing Documents
- Supervise and review Wage Determination Proposals to the Government
- Familiarity with Government billing systems such as WAWF, IPP and GSA Webvendor
- Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources
Insurance -
- Understanding of Workman’s Compensation, General Liability and other insurance.
- Review Risks involved with projects and ensures adequate insurance coverage.
- Experience with Bonding companies and their requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
- CPA is required
- Proven experience as CFO, Finance Officer or similar role required
- Proficient in corporate financial law, risk management, and data analysis/forecasting
- Skilled in MS Office, financial management software preferably Sage accounting software
- Previous experience working with a union contractor is a plus
- Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking, engaging in capital investment and risk management activities
- Ability to obtain/maintain Secret and Top Secret US Government Clearance (FSO)
- Position is a Hybrid position with candidate residing in either Anchorage, AK, Seattle WA, or Portland, OR
- Travel is required
