We have an exciting opportunity for a Turnaround & Small Projects Manager to join our team at our Freeport, Texas facility.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead core turnaround (TA) team to ensure work coordination, planning, scheduling, cost management, and material management meet business needs
  • Lead TA Steering team to align operations, projects, maintenance, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) functions
  • Guide development and maintenance of the turnaround schedules and turnaround budgets
  • Focal point for communication between leadership and turnaround team
  • Coordinate site integration and resource issues through Operations and Contract Administration
  • Control the cost and timing of the turnaround to meet the business and site needs
  • Define work list by freeze date; enforce administrative controls for add-ons after freeze date
  • Develop critical path schedule – integrate operations, projects, and maintenance activities and optimize
  • Estimate cost of turnaround based on scoped work; adjust plans to meet constraints
  • Actively manage issues during turnaround execution to achieve all business goals
  • Identify opportunities for frequency extension between turnarounds
  • Prepare and communicate closure reports. Ensure plans are updated and archived for future turnarounds
  • Participate and lead efforts on site, regional, and possibly business global network to develop discipline and tools to raise effectiveness and performance of the turnaround methodology execution
  • Step in as turnaround work coordinator as needed to help support the team
  • Managing small capital projects between $50K to $500K
  • Lead Maintenance Small Project team in evolving and implementing the maintenance small project work process.
  • Focal point for small project requests; Ensuring scope, resources, work coordination, planning, scheduling, cost management, and material management meet business/project needs
  • Focal point to ensure critical milestones are identified and accomplished
  • Partner with plant engineer driving job quality and identifying critical inspection points
  • Resource project utilizing Daily work coordinator’s for use of embedded crafts as possible
  • Works with accounts payable (APAY) setting up project cost centers, authorizations, and tracking costs
  • Partner with the turnaround work coordinator or the operations plant focal point on coordination and execution of the project
  • Ensure internal/external permits are in place
  • Develop and maintain the small project schedules
  • Focal point for communication between leadership, facilities, turnaround manager, and Small Projects team
  • Report project status, budgeting/costs, to team, business, and leadership
  • Estimate cost of Small Project Requested based on scoped work
  • Partnering with the plant to manage project issues during execution to achieve all business goals
  • Assist in preparing and communicating gate reviews and closure reports including as built documentation

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

What Skills You Need:

  • You possess five (5) years of project, maintenance, and/or manufacturing experience
  • Experience in established project methodologies, or maintenance work
  • You possess good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required
  • You are willing and able to perform the physical aspects of the job with or without reasonable accommodation: climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting
  • You can work independently as well as in a team environment
  • You have excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • You have high diligence, can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent critical thinking skills
  • You value health and safety! You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day
  • You understand that delivering to our customers on time keeps us viable and are willing and able to work overtime hours, which can include nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Agriculture, Operations, Project Management, Manufacturing, or related field
  • You possess six (6) years of project, maintenance, and/or manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Prometheus
  • Knowledge or experience with Six Sigma or LEAN methodologies

Work Authorization and Relocation:

  • This position does NOT offer a relocation package
  • VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Site Dedicated (100% at Corteva location):

  • This role will be on-site at our Corteva location
