Chief Financial Officer

A great UHY client is seeking a CFO to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a CFO in a middle market company, will be able to contribute strategically, and will have experience in either the automotive or chemical markets.

The CFO role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

CFO Duties:

• Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the company's goals and objectives.
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance, mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax laws.
• Coordinate external audits and collaborate with auditors to address any findings or issues.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic partnerships to maximize shareholder value.
• Manage capital structure, cash flow, and working capital to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial data, and prevent fraud or misuse.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate internal control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

CFO Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role, with at least 5 years of experience in financial management and leadership.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience in automotive or chemical industries preferred.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP, financial modeling tools).
