This Leadership position is vital to the company’s core business segment reporting directly to the CEO. As a member of the Leadership team, it is imperative that you adhere to ARC’s core values (Collaborate, Create, and Commit). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance to join our executive team. This position will oversee the Finance department, work with external accountant, and manage financial operations, ensuring compliance with CAS and DCAA requirements, and driving financial strategy in a growing organization.

Objectives

• Strategize, implement, and maintain financial processes that adhere to ARC’s capabilities-driven business strategy.

• Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management.

• Ensure full compliance with CAS and DCAA regulations, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures to meet these requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, ARC’s external accounting, and other financial institutions.

• Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives, providing financial insight and guidance.

• Lead, manage, and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals and support company growth.

• Work with other departments to identify and mitigate risks and generate opportunities for profitability and growth.

• Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, identify and mitigate risks, and generate opportunities for profitability and growth.

• Work closely with the CEO with the development and communication of new business cases, identifying the financial impact. Develop scenario plans and dashboards for the Board and CEO.

• Produce financial KPI’s to illustrate the financial health of the company.

• Oversee and communicate month-end close accuracy.

• Review and approve key proposals with financial risk and large financial customer and supplier contracts.

• Identify and acquire potential sources of capital that support long-term strategies for growth.

• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement and driving data-driven decision-making.

Skills

• CAS and DCAA compliance, including a thorough understanding of related regulations and policies.

• Strong knowledge of government contracting, financial reporting, accounting principles, and sources for capital for large multi-year GovCon programs.

• Ability to develop and implement financial strategy in a growth-oriented organization.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Experience with SYSPRO ERP is a plus.

Education and Experience

The following is required:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

• CPA or CMA certification.

• Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior leadership role
