We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer who will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission to enhance Early Childhood development through innovative programs and strategic partnerships. The CEO will be a visionary leader who can drive the organization's growth, build external relations, advocate for policy changes, and ensure financial growth. As the head of our organization, you will lead a dedicated team of individuals and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government entities, foundations, and community partners.
As the CEO, you will:
- Set strategy; cast a vision; lead, develop, and motivate staff, partner organizations, and Executive Committee, while fostering strong working relationships
- Provide oversight across programmatic, administrative, marketing, and public relations divisions
- Establish and execute strategic vision and goals in collaboration with the Executive Committee
- Cultivate relationships with diverse communities, governing bodies, and funders, both private and public to further the mission of ECIC
- Provide financial oversight in managing the annual budgeting process, evaluating financial statements, financial forecasting for various projects, and ensuring compliance with procedures.
- Work in partnership with State departments, State Intermediate School Districts, local agencies, parent coalitions, and community leaders to strengthen Early Childhood efforts
- Develop sustainable revenue streams via fundraising and grant programs; and by preparing funding proposals, grant budgets, and business plans
- Build community coalitions and strategic partnerships and collaborate with external partners to seek new opportunities for ECIC
- Conduct presentations and public speaking engagements to communicate organizational goals
- Meet with lawmakers and give testimony on to advance ECIC's policy agenda
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Management, Business or related field is preferred but not required; Master's Degree preferred
- Seven (7) years of leadership and management experience, preferably in non-profit or government
- Ability to collaborate, lead a team, build coalitions and be a transformative leader for the organization
- Enthusiasm for the mission of the organization and ability represent the organization to external stakeholders
- Proven history of achieving tangible outcomes in a competitive environment
- Strong strategic planning and fundraising skills
- Excellent facilitation, mediation, and strong diplomacy skills and political savviness
