DCGI’s team is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Engineer for our Philippines-based project.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously analyze and evaluate refinery processes to identify opportunities fort in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Implement changes to optimize the production processes.
- Address and resolve issues related to the refinery's processes. Investigate and troubleshoot any deviations, anomalies, or malfunctions in equipment or processes to ensure smooth operations.
- Create technical specifications for all equipment and components.
- Calculate detailed equipment designs and specifications for unit operations such as reactors, heat exchangers, adsorption systems, distillation columns, etc.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards within the refinery processes. Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect personnel, equipment, and the environment.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to design and implement improvements to existing processes or develop new processes. This includes evaluating new technologies and methods to enhance refinery operations.
- Utilize data analysis tools to monitor and analyze process parameters, performance indicators, and trends. Use this information to make informed decisions regarding process optimization and troubleshooting.
- Ensure that refinery processes comply with environmental regulations. Implement measures to minimize the environmental impact of the refinery's operations, including waste management and emissions control.
- Use process simulation software to model and simulate refinery processes. This helps in predicting the impact of changes and optimizing operations before implementing them on-site.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, operators, maintenance personnel, and management to ensure effective communication and collaboration across different departments.
- Develop and deliver training programs for operators and other personnel involved in refinery processes. Provide technical direction, mentoring and guidance to team members.
- Maintain documentation related to Process Engineering, including procedures, manuals, and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Gas Process Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant oil refining experience
- Previous Work experience in the geographic area
- Fluent English language (speaking and writing)
- Strong quantitative, analytical skills and strategy for better solutions.

- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Ability to work well, handle conflict, and resolve issues.
