Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.
Overview
We are looking for a Per DiemAssistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our Athletic Training department to support Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, CT.

 

This position assists the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in the development, implementation, evaluation, record-keeping and reporting of Strength and Conditioning workouts and programs for student athletes in High School settings to improve athletic performance. Work with team Athletic Director, Sports Medicine staff, and Team Physician to ensure appropriateness of Strength and Conditioning program.

Attend scheduled team practices and sporting events, including travel to sporting events/competitions. Requires scheduled hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays. 

Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all school, NCAA, and Conference guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years’ experience in the field required.
• Current NATA Certification in good standing.
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Strong communications skills required – both written and verbal.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal direction.
• Teamwork and mentoring skills.
• History of strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills.
