As a Business Manager within the Field Finance & Business Management team, you will serve as a strategic leader and primary point of contact for financial decision making within their aligned territory. You will regularly interface with senior field leadership to advise, present and interpret financial and business information and provide strategic financial input to the key stakeholders within the division. In this role, you will partner with the Divisional Business Manager providing direct support to multiple levels of Chase Wealth Management executive management such as the Midwest Division Director-Wealth and Ohio Regional Director-Wealth. You will also have responsibility of managing a team of Business Managers that support the remaining Regional Directors -Wealth in the Midwest Division.
For this role, candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Midwest Division Executive Management team, providing clarity on how to best use analytics to gain insights, evaluate metrics, and drive results
- Manage Midwest team of Business Managers
- Provide strategic analytical and business management support for the Wealth Management business, with the responsibility for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the division’s performance from every relevant perspective
- Leverages a deep understanding of business and financial principles and a working knowledge of key business drivers to coordinate the long-range plans of the division, assesses the performance requirements implicit in these plans, and works alongside the Divisional Leadership Team to execute
- Partners with Divisional Leadership Team to develop medium term market level and branch level growth plans to identify opportunities to further scale advisors
- Provides analytics and insights to assist Midwest Division field leaders to continue to drive advisor productivity by assessing financial results and behavioral metrics
- Establishes and maintains lines of communication with key stakeholders throughout the Division (e.g., Field Leaders, Cross-Line of Business Leaders, Compensation, Supervision, Human Resources, Recruiting, Administration, Business Development, etc.) in conjunction with the Divisional Director
- Leads a team of Business Managers with a focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining a diverse team of top talent
- Maintains a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape; leverages industry expertise and competitive insights to develop thoughtful performance metrics that are aligned with the firm’s priorities
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Strong team leader and change agent; passionate about partnering with Field leadership to grow a quality advisor organization
- 7+ years relevant Financial Services experience, preference for field management
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performing team of quantitative professionals, preferably over multiple locations
- Deep knowledge and understanding of financial principles and ability to link results to activities
- Strong personal management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple (and changing) project deliverables at same time
- Business savvy and commercial judgment
- Outstanding written and verbal communications and ability to tailor message and style to different constituencies (e.g., Field, Finance, Executive Management)
- Ability to influence and advise executive management
