Digital Banking - Application Developer I

• Works closely with cross functional project team members to understand and contribute to technical requirements of the Digital Banking platform and related systems, including preparing technical scope documentation, work effort estimates, and development/deployment task breakdowns.
• Builds and maintains:
• full stack web and mobile applications and microservices hosted by Mission Fed or in the cloud using vendor SDK(s).
• integrations to relevant third-party systems as needed through Webservice, Single Sign On (SSO) and/or API integrations.
• Adheres to stringent control standards and error avoidance methodologies including proper use of development and testing through SDLC, including unit testing, peer code reviews, and proper code promotion.
• Works closely with Information Technology and other departments to build and install modifications and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration with the back-end Core database and other related systems.
• Assists in managing the health of our web and mobile platforms to ensure 99%+ uptime, by working closely with internal teams and 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and remediate system and code related issues.
• Works closely with Contact Center, IT, Core Programming, Marketing, Compliance and other departments to scope projects and ensure applications offer the best member experience possible, while managing strict operational, regulatory, and security controls dealing with data privacy.
• Ensures quality of all work, including testing functionality with various account and member scenarios, different browsers, mobile devices, and varying UI resolutions.
• Actively contributes to overall development of Mission Fed’s internet and mobile technologies and related strategies and plans.
• Demonstrates technical proficiency by staying current with evolving Digital Technology and Fintech trends through independent research, vendor conferences, and collaboration with other developers. This includes, but not limited, to joint architectural design sessions, and innovation sessions across other departments, credit unions, and industry peers.

Here is what we are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Two-year equivalent experience can substitute for every one year of education.
• A minimum of two years of experience in application development or related experience is required. Knowledge of programming languages and familiarity with Windows, iOS, and Android operating systems.
• Must have:
• excellent communication, interpersonal and task management skills, ability to complete quality work on time and within budget, relate appropriately to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction; perform work activities requiring negotiating, instruction, and communicating with others at all levels of the organization, actively works to support a team environment.

Software (Preferred):

• Front end: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, SASS, jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular
• Application Framework: .NET, JavaScript, MySQL/SQL
• Open API standards such as SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, WCF, OAuth, SAML
• GitHub, Visual Studio
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and other cloud related services
• Additional skills that are “nice to have”
• Mobile development using Android Studio, XCode/Swift, and/or IDEs such as Eclipse, React.JS, React Native, Xamarin, and Cordova
• Java development experience
• Drupal CMS and PHP 7+
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, or other design wireframes and prototype comps
• Static and Dynamic code scanning tools
• Agile development framework
• Experience working in regulated financial, banking, and credit union industries

Base Pay/Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 a year
The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is $115,000 to $120,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
