Ability to integrate the osteopathic component in the preclinical and clinical years with TBL, Didactic, OMM skills labs, and clinical skills in the clerkship years
Responsible for designing and delivering innovative osteopathic-focused clinical education to include osteopathic diagnosis, techniques, and principles throughout the four-year undergraduate curriculum
Utilize best practices in a diverse mix of teaching modalities to include large group sessions, small group facilitation, table training for OMT, procedural skills training, OMM skills training, simulation activities, and OSCE's.
Assess student performance of Osteopathic core competencies using various assessment techniques (assessment of medical knowledge and clinical skills). Provide written and verbal feedback to students as appropriate.
Ability to work as a team with Ph.D. faculty and clinical faculty
Creating and overseeing a curriculum that guides the Osteopathic Medical student through acquiring skills that will serve them lifelong in examining and treating patients while maintaining the osteopathic
Experience in delivering OMM/OPP curriculum at a School of Osteopathic Medicine
Experience in creating COMLEX-style exam items and training learners for national board examinations
Experience working as a course director while creating course learning outcomes
Advises and mentors students while helping them in academic and career counseling
Serves on committees and other duties as assigned
Actively participate in student research activities related to OMM/OPP research projects
Participates in the faculty council and OME department meetings
Submits updated CV yearly with OMM/OPP research, teaching, service and other changes for accreditation purposes
Experience teaching Osteopathic Manipulative Techniques (OMT) in didactics and labs
Responsible for Interviewing prospective Osteopathic Medical students
Develops goals, outcomes, and session learning objectives for each lecture, laboratory session or team- based learning presentation to small groups
Works with the Clinical and Biomedical faculty to integrate OMM/OPP into the pre-clinical and clinical years
Participates in curriculum mapping to ensure all OMM exams and techniques meet national standards
Works with students individually, in workshops or in teams to ensure all students understand the principles and practices of Osteopathic manipulative medicine
Work with residency program as needed to ensure residents and students have OMM principles and practices
Teach, train, and educate DO students to ensure the development of the seven osteopathic core competencies of medical knowledge, patient care, communication, professionalism, practice-based learning, systems-based practice, and osteopathic principles and practice/osteopathic manipulative treatment.
Experience creating a curriculum map demonstrating how osteopathic core competencies are incorporated and delivered into the curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications
DO with at least five (5) years experience teaching in a COM
Maintenance of an active medical license and board certification in OMM/NMM
Ability to effectively communicate with various members of the healthcare system, as well as a variety of learners from a broad spectrum of backgrounds is
Teaching experience with students and residents, experience with administrative organizational leadership in an academic institution or program, and/or clinical research scholarship experience
